This desert evening from Hurghada begins with the engine and ends with the stars. First you ride a quad bike across the desert, then you visit a Bedouin village, watch the sun go down and share a candlelight dinner. When the sky is dark, a professional astronomer shows you the night sky through a telescope. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included, so you can simply enjoy the evening.

Quad first, then the stars

The adventure starts with a quad ride, a good way to feel the desert before the evening slows down. After the ride you continue by jeep to a Bedouin village, away from the hotels and the city lights.

Sunset and a Bedouin evening

In the village you can sit down for Bedouin tea and see how fresh bread is baked by hand. Then you watch the sunset, and as it gets dark the lanterns and candles are lit for a BBQ dinner and a traditional Bedouin show.

Stargazing with an astronomer

Away from the light of the city, the desert sky is dark and full of stars. Your astronomer uses a GPS-guided telescope to show you what is above you and explains what you are seeing, so you do not need any knowledge of astronomy. A clear sky gives the best view.

Who can join

The quad driver must be at least 16 years old. Children can join the trip and ride with an adult on the quad, but they do not drive. The trip runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and on any other day for groups of 4 or more people.

A comfortable evening with Bella Station

We pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada at about 14:50 and bring you back at about 22:00. Transport, dinner and the astronomer are all arranged for you, and your guide is a professional.

Tips for your evening

Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes for the quad, and bring a scarf and sunglasses for the dust. Take a warm jacket for later, because the desert cools down after sunset, and charge your phone or camera for the photos.
